Fall Course: Chamber Ensemble

Chamber Ensemble with Marie Nielson

About the Course:
In this program, small groups will come together to learn chamber playing skills, read music, and be guided by a capable coach who will organize and streamline the rehearsal process. Students will work to prepare ensemble pieces to be performed at the end of the series in front of a live audience! This ensemble series is designed for intermediate and advanced students of stringed instruments, vocals, and piano.

About the Instructor:
Classically trained in piano, violin, and voice, Marie has also learned guitar, bass, and ukulele to expand her skills. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance from UAA, with an emphasis on Violin, she is an avid performer in the community and a violinist in the Anchorage Symphony Orchestra (since 2017).
